William Wallace Casper is my great, great, great, grandfather. He was born March 12, 1821 in Belleville, Ohio. He was baptized into the Mormon church, and a shortly after he married Sarah Ann Bean. They lived on a farm in Nauvoo, Illinois. He along with other Mormons were driven out of many different cities and states, they had to leave their home and farm behind. While they were traveling west, he had to leave his wife, and baby to join the Mormon Battalion. After serving, fifteen months later, he was joyfully reunited with his wife and two-year-old daughter in Salt Lake Valley, Utah. He and his family eventually homesteaded a farm and lived there with his wives and their 19 children.
